PROJECT eK Drivers

It all started when…

“I was working as an open wheel mechanic. I saw it on the big screen at long Beach and said, ‘I have to do that’. Elevated Koncpets is family. I just showed up at events, started helping and they took me in, pushed me to drive harder and now we all shred. Eyes up, focus forward.”

In the beginning…

“Shortly after moving from California to Indiana, I attended a local drift event as a spectator. I had the pleasure of getting a ride along from an old timer in a yellow C4 corvette. That experience is what made me want to get into drifting. Through my own drift journey I’ve learned the amount of hard work and dedication this takes. I’ve had to sacrifice many things but I would say the biggest one is relationships. Whether that be family, friends or a partner. I’ve dedicated my life to this so the biggest learning experience has been figuring out how to manage it all, by myself. I’m looking forward to traveling this season, meeting other like-minded people and sharing these experiences with people I care about.”

Funny story actually…

“I used to spend all of my free time in empty warehouse parking lots stunt riding motorcycles. It didn’t matter if I was out there by myself or with 50 other riders, it was my happy place. A few years ago, I decided that I wanted to pursue my lifelong dream of drifting. I learned the basics on the sim and then finally got on track. The first lap had me absolutely hooked and I knew this is where I belong. It has become my new happy place and I know it is where I should be. So when I am asked, “what do I like about drifting?” I just say, “it is my happy place!” Although this chapter of my life is just beginning, I am proud to say that I have found EK and very quickly we have become family. I am stoked to have my brothers as teammates this year! Keep an eye on EK for the 2025 season and beyond as we are just getting started!”

See what had happened was…

“I hopped in the passenger seat of a buddy’s drift car and felt all that adrenaline… that, mixed with all the rad cars and builds you see, I was hooked. I eventually gained the courage to take my own car out and was able to slide it, even though it was automatic at the time. I have been building my car over the last 10 years to be more competitive. A lot of time is spent building and working on my car, prepping for events, and traveling to and from events. This is a big sacrifice of time from friends and family, but I am very fortunate to have a supportive family and have made so many friends from the drift community along the way.”
